Manslaughter Charges Brought For Not Predicting An Earthquake??

What is this world coming to?!

I was perusing strange internet news when I came across this article.  I know that most government officials have too much time on their hands, and heaven forbid that they would want to work to better their country, but this was over the top! 

There are several scientists and a government official being charged with Manslaughter for not being able to predict an earthquake... and are looking at 12 year prison terms if they are found guilty on the charges. You can read the full article at NatureNews.com
