Actress Candace Cameron Bure has confirmed that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will not be appearing in the final season of Netflix's Fuller House.

The cast members of the classic television show's reboot have been asked if the Olsen twins will return for their role as Michelle Tanner. Unfortunately, fans should not expect them in the show's final season. The 43-year-old told People that Michelle Tanner's role will not be reprised.

"No, I've been telling you about this since Season 1," the actress confirmed. "I know... You guys can hang on. Have hope," she laughed. "I know the answer... I've given up. I mean, it's not even 'given up.' I just... we let that go day one."

Although we haven't seen Michelle on the show since the series' original run, the characters have explained in previous episodes that Michelle is busy with her fashion career in New York City, much like the Olsens' real lives.

Even though the Olsens won't be appearing on the show, fans can expect guest appearances from Cameron Bure's brother, Kirk Cameron, and Lisa Loeb.

The first half of the final fifth season will air on Netflix on December 6.
