Early Thursday morning, NBC confirmed the rumors that shock jock Howard Stern will be joining Sharron Osbourne and Howie Mandel as a judge on "America's Got Talent".  The Sirius XM host will be replacing Piers Morgan who left the competition show to replace Larry King on CNN.

"Howard Stern's larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to 'America's Got Talent' starting this summer," said Paul Telegdy, NBC's president of alternative and late night programming. "He's a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable."

To accomodate Stern, NBC has even agreed to move the production of the show from Los Angeles to New York.  The addition of "America's Got Talent" to Stern's resume follows a 5-year contract extension he recently received from Sirius XM.
