With today's news that NBC has decided to not pick up "Wonder Woman", many are quick to point out that this is just another addition to a line of failed Superhero TV shows...

Originally conceived as a made-for-tv movie, this version of Wonder Woman had none of what made the Amazon popular.

This failed attempt of Wonder Woman was created by the same team behind the campy Adam West "Batman" series, which is very apparent in this amazingly terrible pilot.

The character of Aquaman debuted on an episode of "Smallville" to a good response, so a follow-up TV series was a logical step. However, they decided to use a different actor and the feel of the series didn't match that of what "Smallville" had laid out. Luckily, Justin Hartley was so well-liked that he was given the role of Green Arrow on "Smallville".

All I can say about this "Justice League" series is "OUCH!" A "Justice League" series without Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman. What's next? A Beatles bio-pic without Lennon and McCartney?

The difference between this series and the previous ones on this list is that this was actually given a television run. After one season it was pulled. Its biggest claim-to-fame was getting Mark Hammil to do a cameo appearance as the voice of the Joker in a flashback scene that explained Batgirl being in a wheelchair.

Like "Birds of Prey", "The Flash" was given a full season to prove its worth. And like "Birds of Prey", it failed miserably.

Ok... why is this list nothing but DC Comics characters? Didn't Marvel do a bad series? "The Incredible Hulk" was actually really good... but there was a Spider-Man series in the late 70s that was really bad. It had a made-for-television movie premiere and then just over 10 more episodes over two seasons. At least "The Flash" and "Birds of Prey" had more episodes and are actually on DVD.
