Red Hot Radical Readers 2011 Was A Huge Success

929 NIN was proud once again to be to be the official radio station of Red Hot Radical Readers!  The long-time program from Partners in Education along with The Wichita Falls Kiwanis Club, Coca-Cola, and Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott encourages children in Wichita Falls elementary schools to explore and embrace reading as a life-long habit.

We had a ton of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders from many different schools participate this year and we capped off the event with a HUGE Red Hot Radical Reader rally at Barwise Jr. High for all participating students.  They all received a T-Shirt for meeting their reading goals, and also got to do their "reading cheer" in front of their classmates and parents.  It was a LOT of fun.  Check out the gallery!
