Recently, my wife and I have taken to watching "Star Trek: The Next Generation" on Netflix.  While I'm the resident Trekkie in the house, my wife was only vaguely familiar, having seen a few episodes in re-runs.  Now that she's seen more episodes, there have been several instances of, "I didn't know he/she did an episode...

Its always interesting to think of what would have happened if another actor had been chosen for a role made famous by someone else.  What would have "The Matrix" been like if Ewan McGregor hadn't turned down the role of Neo to play Obi-Wan in "The Phantom Menace"...

Last week when I was working on the post Actors Who Almost Got The Big Role, I quickly realized that I could do a full list just on Superhero films.  And with "Iron Man 3" taking over the world box office and "Man of Steel" due out in couple weeks, now seemed like a great time to do it...

It looks like in a few months Dunder Mifflin is going to have to hold a job fair to replace not one, but two of their employees when  James Spader and Rainn Wilson depart at the end of the current season. After Steve Carell left the series last season, James Spader was selected as his replacement, but the deal was for only one season and a minimum of only 15 episodes...

Its a show that not many remember, but still has loyal fans.  "Beauty and the Beast" ran for two and a half seasons from 1987 to 1990, and was a modern re-telling of the classic tale set in New York and starring Ron Pearlman and Linda Hamilton...

Early Thursday morning, NBC confirmed the rumors that shock jock Howard Stern will be joining Sharron Osbourne and Howie Mandel as a judge on "America's Got Talent".  The Sirius XM host will be replacing Piers Morgan who left the competition show to replace Larry King on CNN...

With the criticisms thrown at the acting abilities of the members of the "Twilight" cast, and I admit I've thrown many of those criticisms myself, it's interesting to think about what could have been in the town of Forks.  It would have been seriously ironic to see an actress who spent years killing vampires on TV being in a movie about falling in love with and becoming a sparkling one. 

With the new James Bond film "Skyfall" starting principle photography, it was only a matter of time until some of the mystery characters were revealed.  Weeks ago during the press conference announcing the title to the 23rd official Bond film, several actors were confirmed as part of the cast, but their respective roles were kept secret...

This just goes to show how long its been since I've watched the original "CSI".  I had no idea that Marg Helgenberger is leaving the series after 12 years as Catherine Willows.  Instead of leaving at the end of the season, Helgenberger will bow out shortly after the return from the Christmas hiatus ...

"Ghostbusters 3" has been in developmental hell since the early 1990s.  Though "Ghostbusters 2" did not live up to the original, it was still a success and warranted a third film.  Aykroyd wrote a script in the early 90s that centered around the Ghostbusters being transported to a demonic universe with a new crew of younger Ghostbusters...

Matrix, CSI, and Pee-Wee's Playhouse star Laurence Fishburne has been cast in "The Man of Steel" as the editor of The Daily Planet, the newspaper Clark Kent and Lois Lane work for.   Fishburne joins the already heavy hitting cast that includes Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Amy Adams, Russell Crowe and Michael Shannon...
