Well, what do you know? A truck stop in Southwest Oklahoma was named one of the best truck stops in the country by the experts themselves - truckers.

Why Truck Stops Are a Road Trip Essential

There’s just something about truck stops. I would rather stop at a truck stop than a run-of-the-mill convenience store when I’m traveling. They have so much more to offer. Not to mention the food is right up my alley. I love a good old greasy spoon.

It probably has a lot to do with the fact that not only are there several truckers in my family, but my dad was a cattle buyer. If you know anything about that profession, you know they spend a lot of time on the road traveling to cattle auctions. We would almost always stop at truck stops along the way when I was able to go with him.

Since my dad’s base of operations was here in North Texas, we spent a lot of time in the sale barns here and in Southern Oklahoma. So, I was pleased to see that the Love’s Travel Stop in Randlett, Oklahoma, was ranked the 10th best truck stop in the country by the Truck Path community.
