Why Truck Stops Are a Road Trip Essential
There’s just something about truck stops. I would rather stop at a truck stop than a run-of-the-mill convenience store when I’m traveling. They have so much more to offer. Not to mention the food is right up my alley. I love a good old greasy spoon.

It probably has a lot to do with the fact that not only are there several truckers in my family, but my dad was a cattle buyer. If you know anything about that profession, you know they spend a lot of time on the road traveling to cattle auctions. We would almost always stop at truck stops along the way when I was able to go with him.
Since my dad’s base of operations was here in North Texas, we spent a lot of time in the sale barns here and in Southern Oklahoma. So, I was pleased to see that the Love’s Travel Stop in Randlett, Oklahoma, was ranked the 10th best truck stop in the country by the Truck Path community.
I’ll have to make it a point to stop by the next time I’m north of the Red River.
