Traffic Cameras Catch EF-4 Tornado Passing Over I-30 and Bush Turnpike
New footage released shows the power of the tornado that hit north Texas the day after Christmas and killed eight.
The North Texas Tollway Authority has released footage is gathered from traffic cameras on December 26 as an EF-4 tornado passed over the I-30/Bush Turnpike intersection. The footage was initially turned over to the Texas Department of Public Safety for investigation of the eight deaths that happened during the storm. Once it was determined the deaths were not the result of crashes, the footage was turned over to the Garland Police Department for their investigation, which is still ongoing.
