Keep Scrolling to See What 92.9 NIN Originally Sounded Like
I occasionally run into folks that tell me they remember when 92.9 NIN was KNIN. Technically that is still our official call letters that you will only hear at the top of every hour, but the K was dropped sometime in the 90's. Today though we're going back to 80's when the station you know and love today was on the AM side of your radio.
Listen to KNIN Jingles from the 1980's
A YouTube page dedicated to old radio jingles uploaded yesterday some of our very own station. If you love old school radio like myself, you will get a kick out of what the station sounded like back in the day. Today 92.9 NIN is known as Wichita Falls Number One Hit Music Station, apparently at some point in the 1980's we were known as 'The Big One'.
In doing some more research, looks like the KNIN 990 AM signal was used between 1981 and 1983. So if you tuned in during that period of time, I am sure these jingles played at some point during those years. Also I found an old KNIN logo from that time that appears to have a Dallas Cowboys helmet on it. I guess we were the radio home for the Dallas Cowboys in Wichita Falls for a period of time, which is pretty cool.
