Whenever I’m on my home computer, my cat likes to join me in my lap. I’ll admit that it’s not always convenient, like when I’m trying to actually get work done, but it reminds me that she loves me. Well, that, or I’m simply a warm lap, but I refuse to believe she would just use me for my warmth. Pets are a fantastic addition to any household, but there are some pets that don’t have a place to call home. That’s where you, my friend, can help.

The Humane Society shelters pets, gets them the care they need, gives them the love they’re craving, and does their best to place them in permanent homes. Whether you’re looking for an energetic puppy that loves kids to at cat who’s just as laid back and quiet as you are, chances are the Humane Society will have your perfect match.

May I present our pets of the week. If you’d like to see them in person or get more information on these pets or any other pets that the Humane Society has, check them out online here or call 940-855-4941. They’re located at 4360 Old Iowa Park Road in Wichita Falls.

Havoc is an adult, male, medium sized Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler). He’s great on a leash, gets along with everyone, and has a great personality. He’s neutered, heartworm tested and on preventative, up-to-date on shots, dewormed, and microchipped. See if you can create some Havoc in your home with this amazing canine.

Autumn is a young female cat. By the looks of it, she has a lot of attitude, and that makes for the best kind of feline friend! She’s spayed, up-to-date on shots, microchipped, and dewormed. Stop in to meet her and see if she’s the right fit for your home. Belly scratches are appreciated.
